Prince George is the region's central hub. YXS Airport has three major airlines with direct flights from Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. Prince George is located at the crossroads of two major highways, making it very accessible by car! Check DriveBC for current road conditions. The Skeena Rail line comes right through Prince George, a more scenic mode of transporation that gives you a front row seat to untouched Canadian wilderness.

Cottonwoond Island Nature Park is a local favourite. Enjoy the winding trails along the river, views of the historical CN Rail Bridge, and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the many unique carvings scattered across the trees. Prince George is home to one of the most northern botanical gardens in BC, the David Douglas Botanical Garden. Relax amongst the fragrant flowers, we suggest you bring a book!
In the winter we don't slow down; we speed up. With the Hart Ski Hill, Powder King Resort, and the Caledonia Nordic Ski Centre, you'll experience some incredible powder! If you're feeling a little more low-key, the outdoor ice oval is a great place to get your skate on and sip some hot chocolate!

Obviously our favourite restaurant in town is the Grand Trunk Tavern located at the Prestige Treasure Cove Resort, but if you've already visited them and want to try out another great local eatery, you wont have to look far! Prince George embraces everything local, and is very proud of it's flourishing culinary scene.
