If you're here in the summer you're in for some superb golf courses, hikes that will take your breath away, and mountain biking trails that will put your skills to the test. Winter visitors will be glad to know Prince George embraces snow, with multiple skiing options for you to choose from, an outdoor skating rink, and phenomenal snowshoeing!

If you prefer your adventures to be indoor, Prince George celebrates its artistic creativity and long standing history in many ways. Art galleries, museums, a theatre company, and live music shows, Prince George doesn't settle for dull moments. There is also great shopping, a Costco, Casino and lots of opportunities for family fun!

Prince George is the region's central hub. YXS Airport has three major airlines with direct flights from Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. Prince George is located at the crossroads of two major highways, making it very accessible by car! Check DriveBC for current road conditions. The Skeena Rail line comes right through Prince George, a more scenic mode of transporation that gives you a front row seat to untouched Canadian wilderness.



Whether you want to play hard or relax and take in the beauty, Prince George is ready to entertain. We will always encourage you to get outside and carve out your own adventure, but don't worry, we have plenty of indoor options as well! Hit up a climbing gym, go bowling, go curling, or check out some of our local shops.



No matter the season, life happens outdoors. With an abundance of hiking and mountain biking trails, golf courses and parks, your summers here can be spent under the sun! Cottonwoond Island Nature Park is a local favourite. Enjoy the winding trails along the river, views of the historical CN Rail Bridge, and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the many unique carvings scattered across the trees. Prince George is home to one of the most northern botanical gardens in BC, the David Douglas Botanical Garden. Relax amongst the fragrant flowers, we suggest you bring a book!

In the winter we don't slow down; we speed up. With the Hart Ski Hill, Powder King Resort, and the Caledonia Nordic Ski Centre, you'll experience some incredible powder! If you're feeling a little more low-key, the outdoor ice oval is a great place to get your skate on and sip some hot chocolate!



Prince George celebrates the past and the present. Check out The Exploration Place and experience a unique, participatory museum of regional history, science, and technology. Learn about the two major industries that shape Prince George, forestry and rail, at the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum.

Two Rivers Gallery is not only a professionally curated art gallery, but also offers classes, tours, and creative activities for its visitors. Books & Company is a local book shop that attracts book lovers, coffee addicts, and music fans, plus it has a venue space upstairs! If you're looking for a show, you have many options! Books & Company hosts artists, comedians, and many other types of live entertainment. Take in a theatre production at Theatre Northwest, with many unique performances occuring throughout the year. The Lambda Cabaret is an LGBTQ+ friendly bar that offer two levels of entertainment, and a karaoke corner!

Obviously our favourite restaurant in town is the Grand Trunk Tavern located at the Prestige Treasure Cove Resort, but if you've already visited them and want to try out another great local eatery, you wont have to look far! Prince George embraces everything local, and is very proud of it's flourishing culinary scene.
