Job Duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interact effectively with resort guests and co-workers to create a positive experience
  • Monitor, respond, and process guests’ online feedback of hotel
  • Handle guest registration and room assignments; accommodating special requests whenever possible in a timely manner
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations
  • Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Ensure privacy of guests
  • Provide information on resort facilities and services with hours of operation
  • Share general information on points of interest in the area and services in the community
  • Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payment
  • Understand basic accounting principles, including debit and credit transactions
  • Complete the daily Front Desk duty sheet

  • Oversee all reservations, groups, proposals, and revenue management tasks as directed by the General Manager

Scope of Responsibility

The Operations Admin Assistant provides support to the Operations Department of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Operations Admin Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the company, including tasks like data entry, document management, coordinating logistics, and assisting with project management, all while working closely with various team members to maintain efficiency and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be energetic, a self-starter, organized, and supportive of others.

Operations Duties:

  • Serves as first point of contact for project and/or product sourcing
  • Maintains vendor and contractor information, including pricing agreements, ensuring branding standards, and updating purchasing resources for the company
  • Ensures product standards and agreement terms are met; problem solving for supply issues, including alternate product availability
  • Maintains insurance and contractor liability insurance for all company partnerships and services
  • Clerical and project support for Chief Operating Officer and executive team
  • Administrative tracking assignments (i.e., facility projects, asset list etc.)
  • Supports execution of renovation and improvement projects
  • Other tasks assigned by COO

Human Resources Duties:

  • Provides administrative recruitment & selection support for human resources
  • Referencing, job postings, updating job descriptions
  • Supports the updating of and development of training materials for Prestige Online Training
  • Updates the Policy and Procedures Manual and other manuals as assigned by the HR Coordinator

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a working housekeeper role who assists the General Manager plan, organize, supervise, and motivate to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel.

Job Duties:

  • Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions, arrival checks, and cleans public areas and conference areas on a regular basis
  • Trains, onboards, and motivates housekeeping and laundry personnel
  • Collaborates with maintenance staff
  • Assists the General Manager to organize the daily functions and duties of the housekeeping department, including scheduling
  • Provides direction and supervision when the General Manager is absent
  • Inspects quality of linens and advises the General Manager on purchasing requirements
  • Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality assurance
  • Conducts staff meetings in conjunction with General Manager
  • Monitors and trains with cleaning products to improve efficiencies
  • Maintains and oversees the required process to ensure regular deep cleaning and preventative maintenance

General Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Fluent in the English language (written and verbal)
  • Requires ability to select, train, evaluate, motivate, and discipline, as needed
  • Operates the department within given cost controls
  • Requires the ability to follow and give directions (verbal and written)
  • Requires the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Experience:

  • Previous experience in supervising others preferred
