Scope of Responsibility

The Research & Support Student Intern will assist our Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources Department. This role performs administrative support, researching, and reporting, among other tasks and projects assigned to support our office and hotel properties. The successful candidate will be energetic, a self-starter, organized and supportive of others.

Duties include:

  • Conducting research into prospective new clients in a variety of markets including corporate, sports, association and others, and then conducting cold/warm calls and emails to potential new clients in an effort to secure future business
  • Reviewing guest feedback and reputation management support software and helping to create strategies, policy, and training in order to improve the guest experience
  • Supporting the creation of promotional materials and marketing
  • Help create monthly and quarterly production reports on behalf of all hotels that our corporate office supports
  • Assist with data entry for Request for Proposals and online hotel listings
  • Summarizing and creating policy and presentations to help train staff in the area of liquor licensing that reflects recent changes in the laws
  • Investigating and summarizing what products General Managers are using at their properties and researching quotes for equipment, products, or service plans are needed at those properties as result. Examining the effectiveness of those products.
  • Supporting the Human Resources department through reference checking
  • Some administrative work to help organize online folders, recreate labels, adjust spreadsheets, and create templates in order to support our Operations Department
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor to support Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources Departments

Prestige Inn Golden/Rocky Mountain Cold Beer & Wine is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Full-Time Liquor Store Supervisor.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate with staff when liquor store manager is not present
  • Supports with staff onboarding and training
  • Orders inventory as required by liquor store manager
  • Ensures staff adhere to liquor laws and BC Serving it Right regulations
  • Maintains a high level of customer service and addresses patron concerns in a positive and helpful manner
  • Create enticing displays for products
  • Processes customer transactions
  • Maintains cleanliness of the store
  • May cover hotel front desk shifts when business levels require it
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least 19 years old
  • Serving it Right certification is an asset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Employment would be subject to the completion of a Vulnerable Criminal Record Check
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Compensation:

  • $18.00 – 20.00 + Eligible for tips.
