Built from the ground up in 1997, the resort was designed with comfort and a sense of connection in mind. Resort Amenities
Concierge Services and e-bike, sporting equipment and board game rentals– Contact Guest Services to borrow our complimentary sporting equipment, e-bikes, and board games. E-bikes are available for Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson guests only. Rentals are complimentary up to 3 hours and are available on a first-come first-served basis. The minimum age requirement is 19+.

Fitness Centre – Located on the lobby level, the Prestige Athletic Club is available 24 hours daily. Must be 19 or older.
Electric Car Chargers – Tesla and Universal car chargers have been installed at the resort, located in the parking lot. Complimentary usage for hotel guests only.
Ice – Located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors.
Soft Drink Vending Machines – Located on the 1st floor.
Snack Vending Machine – Located on the 2nd floor.
Security – For the safety of our guests and employees, the hotel uses security cameras in public areas. The security cameras are not monitored by personnel. Access to recordings is restricted and managed in accordance with privacy standards. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bikes. As our parking lots are accessible to the general public, we cannot be held responsible for stolen items.
Swimming Pool – Our indoor swimming pool and hot tub are located on the main floor just off the front lobby. For your safety, please observe posted regulations. Children under 7 years must be supervised within arm’s reach at all times by a responsible person of at least 16 years old. Pool towels are available by the pool area. The swimming pool area is unsupervised. The pool is open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.
Valet Laundry Services – Available Mon. – Fri. Please use the laundry bag hanging in the closet, fill out the corresponding sheet, and leave it with Guest Services. For delivery services, please inquire. Fees apply.
Marina – Our guests receive one hour of complimentary access at the marina in front of the resort, including paddleboarding, kayaking, or canoeing. After the first hour, Prestige guests receive 10% off all additional rentals and services. You can contact the marina directly at 877.808.7238

Nelson is a vibrant lakeside community offering guests a blend of arts, culture, dining, and outdoor recreation, all within easy reach of the resort. Baker Street
Nelson’s historic main street is approximately a 5 minute drive or a 15 to 20 minute walk from the resort. Baker Street is home to locally owned shops, cafés, restaurants, and galleries, and is the heart of downtown activity.
Lakeside Park
Lakeside Park is about a 4 minute walk from the resort. This popular waterfront park features walking paths, green space, and lake access, making it ideal for a stroll or time outdoors.
Cottonwood Centre Mall
Cottonwood Centre Mall is approximately a 7 minute drive from the resort and offers grocery stores, retail shops, and essential services.

Nelson is well known for outdoor experiences that begin right in town. Scenic walking and cycling paths follow the waterfront, while nearby hiking trails offer elevated views of the city and Kootenay Lake. Options range from easy lakeside walks to more challenging hikes, making it simple to find something that fits your pace and interests.
Just steps from the resort, guests can access an outdoor swimming area at the marina dock with direct entry into Kootenay Lake. This designated lake swimming area offers a refreshing way to enjoy the water during warmer months, with easy access from the waterfront pathway.

Frequently Asked Questions
- When is checkout time?
11 am. Contact Guest Services by 10 am if you wish to stay an additional night or extend your checkout time. All checkouts after 11 am are subject to an additional charge.
- What if I wish to have privacy during my stay?
While we are pleased to accommodate your request for privacy during your stay, for your safety and comfort, it is our policy to check each guestroom once every 24 hours. Should you wish to have privacy, please turn on your indicator and contact Guest Services to inform us of a more convenient time to service your room.
- Can I digitally tip housekeeping?
Yes, you can! While it’s totally optional, we understand that many of our guests like tipping our housekeeping staff directly and now you can do it digitally!
- Can I have visitors in my room?
In the interest of all registered guests, parties are not permitted in guestrooms, and maximum room capacities must be followed at all times (max of two adults for every one bed in the guest room). Non-registered guests are not permitted in guestrooms after 10 pm.
- Is there free WiFi?

- Is my room non-smoking?
We are pleased to provide a smoke-free environment. A minimum $300 per incident cleaning fee will be applied to your account for smoking in your guestroom(s), guest balcony(s), anywhere inside the building, or in contravention of the BC Tobacco Control Act – Section 2.3 (1)b which specifies that a person cannot hold lighted tobacco or be smoking tobacco or other substances (cannabis, vapes, or other inhalants) within 6 meters of a doorway, window, or intake vent. The fee will be used to restore the room to the original quality level.
- Does my room have a smoke or CO detector?
Yes, your room is equipped with alarms for smoke and carbon monoxide. Should either alarm sound, evacuate your room immediately. Please review the safety card in the top drawer of the bedside table or by clicking the link below.
- Does the Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson allow dogs?
For guests with furry friends, we have a limited number of designated dog-friendly guestrooms. A fee of $30 per night applies; ask us about long-term stay fees. A maximum of two dogs weighing less than 80 lbs (per dog) are permitted in each designated dog-friendly room. Guests allowing dogs or any other pets in a non-designated room will be charged a fee and asked to remove the pet from the guestroom. Disposable plastic bags and dog beds are available upon request.
