Supporting local charities and the communities we serve.

Giving Back Across BC

For more than three decades, Prestige has supported local charities and non-profits by donating prize packages for silent auctions, raffles, and fundraising events to help them raise money.

We’re so proud to support worthy organizations across British Columbia. Since 2021 alone, we’re pleased to have donated:

818 complimentary stays with a value of more than $210,000!

Prestige proudly supports events, organizations, and initiatives that bring communities together across British Columbia, with over $80,000 in annual support through in-kind donations and cash sponsorships.

Here are just a few of the organizations that we support every year:

JoeAnna’s House
In partnership with the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, Prestige’s ownership families contributed significantly to helping build and open JoeAnna’s House, named in honour of our founders, Josef and Anna Huber. Learn more about JoeAnna’s House here.

Cops for Kids
Supporting the annual ride with over 60 hotel rooms donated each year for the riders to stay in on their journey across BC, valued at approximately $15,000.

Roots and Blues Festival
Proud partner for over 10 years, Prestige contributes $20,000 annually in cash and discounted hotel stays for the artists, crew and staff.

Local Sports Teams
Supporting various sports leagues across BC – including the BCHL, KIJHL and many community teams – with approximately $45,000 in annual sponsorship.

Freeride World Tour
Providing $10,000 in hotel accommodations annually for athletes, media, and organizers visiting Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.

Sustainability in Practice

At Prestige Hotels and Resorts, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through thoughtful, practical actions across our properties. We’re proud that all of our properties are Sustainable Tourism Certified by GreenStep, based on criteria recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

The Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm and the Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers achieved Gold certification in 2026, and all of our remaining properties currently hold a Silver status. Our approach focuses on continuous improvement and responsible choices in both our operations and guest experience.

– Our Go Green program gives guests staying multiple nights the option to opt out of housekeeping services, helping reduce water and energy use. At our Sooke and Salmon Arm properties, guests can take their impact even further through our partnership with veritree, supporting kelp restoration and tree planting projects in British Columbia.

Lynnette Peter

General Manager, Prestige Beach House Kelowna
Lynnette serves as Vice President of the Kelowna Hotel Association and was recently elected to the Tourism Kelowna Board of Directors in May 2026.

Danielle Dumont

Assistant General Manager, Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke
Danielle has led a local youth and adult drop-in volleyball program in Sooke for the past two years.

Dan French

General Manager, Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland
Dan sits on the board of Tourism Rossland and volunteers as league secretary for the South Kootenay Rec Soccer League.

Treena Coney

General Manager, Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm
Treena is actively involved in regional development through her roles on the MRDT committee, Salmon Arm Tourism Committee, and Economic Development Committee, and volunteers with 4H and the Vernon Kennel Club.

Trevor Carr

General Manager, Prestige Cranbrook Hotel
Trevor served with the Radium Hot Springs volunteer fire department from 2015 onwards, serving as volunteer Fire Chief from 2021 to 2026 before relocating to Cranbrook.

Daniela Bork

General Manager, Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers
Daniela is actively involved with the Tourism Smithers Board of Directors and continues to volunteer with organizations including Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Northern Lights Wildlife Society.

Iuliia Prunenko

Corporate Office
Iuliia is Co-Founder and Director of the Ukrainian Canadian Volunteers Association and has served on its Board of Directors since its registration in 2022.

Pam Vandervelde

Corporate Office
Pam volunteers as an usher at the Kelowna Community Theatre, contributing approximately 100 hours each year.

Christie MacAulay

Corporate Office
Christie serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Inbound Tourism Association.

Amy Nunn

Corporate Office
Amy served on Destination BC’s Tourism Marketing Committee for six years and was a leader with Girl Guides of Canada for three years.

Robyn Yenney

Corporate Office
Robyn is a voting board member and volunteer liaison with This Space Belongs to You, a “for community, by community” charitable service agency, delivering mental health support to 2SLGBTQIA+ and/or IBPOC young people (ages 12-24) on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands belonging to the Syilx Nation.

Terry Yesaki

Terry has served as Treasurer and bookkeeper for Childhood Connections – Okanagan Family and Childcare Society since 2013.

Tanya Stroinig

Corporate Office
Tanya has served on the BCHA Board of Directors since 2021 and is currently in her final term as Chair. Closer to home, Tanya enjoys volunteering for major events in Kelowna, including the recent 2025 Brier and 2026 BC Summer Games.
