Fitness Centre – Guests of the Inn are welcome to use the fitness centre located on the lobby level of the Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson. Access to the Prestige Athletic Club is available 24 hours per day. Must be 19 or older.
Swimming Pool – Guests of the Inn are welcome to use the swimming pool and hot tub at the Prestige Lakeside Resort Nelson. For your safety, please observe posted regulations. Children under 7 years must be supervised within arm’s reach at all times by a responsible person of at least 16 years old. Guests 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Pool towels are available by the pool area. The swimming pool area is unsupervised. The pool is open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.
Security – For the safety of our guests and employees, the hotel uses security cameras in public areas. The security cameras are not monitored by personnel. Access to recordings is restricted and managed in accordance with privacy standards. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bikes. As our parking lots are accessible to the general public, we cannot be held responsible for stolen items.

Baker Street
Nelson’s historic main street is approximately a 3 minute drive or a 15 to 20 minute walk from the resort. Baker Street is home to locally owned shops, cafés, restaurants, and galleries, and is the heart of downtown activity.
Lakeside Park
Lakeside Park is about a 3 minute walk from the resort. This popular waterfront park features walking paths, green space, and lake access, making it ideal for a stroll or time outdoors.
Chahko Mika Mall
Cottonwood Centre Mall is approximately a 2 minute drive from the resort and offers grocery stores, retail shops, and essential services.

Scenic walking and cycling paths follow the waterfront, while nearby hiking trails offer elevated views of the city and Kootenay Lake. Options range from easy lakeside walks to more challenging hikes, making it simple to find something that fits your pace and interests.
Next to our sister property, the Prestige Nelson Resort, guests can access an outdoor swimming area at the marina dock with direct entry into Kootenay Lake. This designated lake swimming area offers a refreshing way to enjoy the water during warmer months, with easy access from the waterfront pathway.

Frequently Asked Questions
- When is checkout time?
11 am. Contact Guest Services by 10 am if you wish to stay an additional night or extend your checkout time. All checkouts after 11 am are subject to an additional charge.
- What if I wish to have privacy during my stay?
While we are pleased to accommodate your request for privacy during your stay, for your safety and comfort, it is our policy to check each guestroom once every 24 hours. Should you wish to have privacy, please turn on your indicator and contact Guest Services to inform us of a more convenient time to service your room.
- Can I digitally tip housekeeping?
Yes, you can! While it’s totally optional, we understand that many of our guests like tipping our housekeeping staff directly and now you can do it digitally!
- Can I have visitors in my room?
In the interest of all registered guests, parties are not permitted in guestrooms, and maximum room capacities must be followed at all times (max of two adults for every one bed in the guest room). Non-registered guests are not permitted in guestrooms after 10 pm.
- Is there free WiFi?

- Is my room non-smoking?
We are pleased to provide a smoke-free environment. A minimum $300 per incident cleaning fee will be applied to your account for smoking in your guestroom(s), guest balcony(s), anywhere inside the building, or in contravention of the BC Tobacco Control Act – Section 2.3 (1)b which specifies that a person cannot hold lighted tobacco or be smoking tobacco or other substances (cannabis, vapes, or other inhalants) within 6 meters of a doorway, window, or intake vent. The fee will be used to restore the room to the original quality level.
- Does my room have a smoke or CO detector?
Yes, your room is equipped with alarms for smoke and carbon monoxide. Should either alarm sound, evacuate your room immediately. Please review the safety card in the top drawer of the bedside table or by clicking the link below.
- Does the Prestige Inn Nelson allow dogs?
For guests with furry friends, we have a limited number of designated dog-friendly guestrooms. A fee of $30 per night applies; ask us about long-term stay fees. A maximum of two dogs weighing less than 80 lbs (per dog) are permitted in each designated dog-friendly room. Guests allowing dogs or any other pets in a non-designated room will be charged a fee and asked to remove the pet from the guestroom. Disposable plastic bags and dog beds are available upon request.
