Scope of Responsibility

- Confidentiality: Handles confidential correspondence, documents, and records with discretion.
- Project Support: Assists with special projects for the corporate office and hotels. Conducts research and compiles data.
- Office Oversight & Coordination: Keeps an organized office environment by managing supplies and maintaining staff areas.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting executives or senior leadership, ideally in hospitality or corporate environments.
- Must have a valid BC driver’s license.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Scope of Responsibility
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Corporate Sales Manager will identify, create, and pursue new business opportunities, establish great relationships with clients and maintain customer loyalties with our small- to medium-sized corporate accounts (producing 10-100 room nights per year). The ability to communicate, present, and negotiate with all levels of management within a prospective company both over the phone, by email, and in person is essential for success in this position.
The Corporate Sales Manager will specifically perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Pursue new business opportunities in the corporate and crew markets for all of Prestige’s 19 properties across BC.
- Conduct sales appointments and on-site visits with new and existing clients.
- Directly manage and maintain client accounts and relationships, following up throughout the year to assess client needs and offer preferred corporate rates.
- Respond to RFPs and submit proposals through various online platforms.
- Collaborate with the hotel General Managers to ensure cohesiveness.
- Communicate customer requirements and information with the sales team and management.
- Research and analyze clients’ business objectives.
- Conduct research on prospective new clients and markets to pursue, and follow-up with introductory phone calls and/or emails. Must be comfortable with cold-calling and working from a database of existing clients.
- Represent Prestige Hotels & Resorts at pertinent networking events to obtain leads and build new business relationships.
- Communicate with and report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and other members of the sales team and corporate office.
- Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and various software systems to research new business opportunities and maintain client databases.
- Complete quarterly analysis of production results for all properties.
Required Experience & Assets
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience. Direct experience in hotel sales will be considered a strong asset.
- Negotiation capabilities coupled with the ability to apply influence to drive business results.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service and a focus on building customer loyalty.
- Willingness to travel to the various Prestige properties and feeder markets if needed.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Candidate should be a self-starter, organized, require minimal supervision, be able to work independently, but still work well in a team. Be able to set and meet deadlines and truly enjoy working with people.
- Experience in developing and executing successful sales or business strategies.
The following are considered advantageous:
- Hospitality industry experience.
- A passion for sales- and target-based performance.
- A diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in sales, business development, or other relevant business field.
- Computer efficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Compensation and perks
The successful candidate for this position will receive a competitive starting salary between $60,000 – $65,000 annually, three weeks paid vacation, and extended health and dental benefits, free parking downtown, and staff discounts on Prestige properties across BC.

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a flexible schedule dependent on abilities.
Duties:
- Maintain and improve upon hotel guest rooms and additional public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve pool and hot tub mechanical issues
- Perform hotel room repair activities. (i.e., handrails, walls, doors, flooring.)
- Perform heavy lifting (i.e., move heavy furniture, remove scrap and debris)
- Perform painting, snow removal, and light landscaping
- Maintain positive communication with the hotel General Manager to ensure that tasks are completed
- Ensure friendly professional interactions with hotel guests
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior maintenance or trades experience
- 2 years experience in a maintenance role considered an asset
- Must have a mechanical mindset with basic plumbing and electrical experience
- Must be able to lift medium to heavy loads weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs.)
- Previous painting experience
- BC driver’s license and reliable transportation
