RM Events’ Six in the Stix, an exciting event for participants and spectators alike, is taking place September 19th – 20th. This race is designed for mountain bikers of all ages and skill levels with a category to suit every rider.
Course Location & Route
The event’s home base will be at the College of the Rockies parking lot.
The popular Kids & Youth Stix races include a 1.4 km loop of both single and double track trails.

The course is located throughout the trails of Cranbrook Community Forest, a few kilometers from downtown Cranbrook. The Kootenay region has quickly become a popular mountain biking destination because of the challenging terrain. The course for Six and the Stix was designed in 2014 to feature steep climbs and fast descents.

- For recreational riders who would like to participate in one lap of the course
Kids & Youth Stix:
- 15 minute fun obstacle ride (recommended for 2-6years)
- 30 minute trail ride (recommended for 5-14years)
- 60 minute trail ride (recommended for 5-14years)

Saturday, September 19th
10:00AM-6:00PM: Grab bag pick-up for 6 hour and 1ap Stix races (Gerick Sports)
12:00PM: Youth Stix race bag pick-up
1:00PM: Youth Stix races START
Sunday, September 20th
7:30AM-8:30AM: Late grab bag pick-up and sign-in for all 6 hour and 1ap Stix participants
9:00AM: 6 hour solo and team START
9:10AM: 1ap Stix START
12:00PM-4:00PM: BBQ Lunch – included in entry fee for racers, non-racers can purchase tickets online or at the BBQ
3:30PM: Prize draw and awards
