Maintenance Technician

Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland


Don’t mind getting your hands dirty? This is the job for you. Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland is hiring a Maintenance Attendant to maintain and fix amenities of guest rooms and common spaces of the hotel.

Duties

  • Maintain and improve upon hotel guest rooms and additional public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs;
  • Maintain positive communication with the hotel General Manager to ensure that tasks are completed as required;
  • Demonstrate effective and timely interaction with all hotel departments and positively impact the guest experience by effectively and efficiently resolving maintenance concerns;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pool and hot tub mechanical issues;
  • Perform hotel room repair activities (I.e. handrails, walls, doors, flooring etc.);
  • Perform heavy lifting (i.e. move heavy furniture, remove scrap and debris);
  • Perform painting, snow removal, cleaning gutters, sweeping parking lot;
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times with a commitment to working safely;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience within a hotel or multi-unit building is an asset.
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Pool Operators Certificate, background in electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC systems are an asset.
  • Previous painting experience is desirable.
  • Must be physically fit, with the ability to perform heavy lifting.
  • Positive Team Player Attitude.
  • BC Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • First aid certification an asset.

The Prestige Prince Rupert Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is accepting applications for a Night Auditor/ Guest Service Agent to join our team. We are looking for an individual who possesses an insatiable desire to attain the highest levels of quality and service in all areas of the hotel.

 

Duties Include:

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check-in/out
  • Reviews financial reports to ensure accuracy
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately inputs all guest data and prepares daily reports
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of lodging room categories, room rates, packages, promotions
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel and change room reservations
  • Process telephone calls
  • Provide general information about hotel and points of interest in the area
  • Work with minimal supervision

Job Requirements:

  • A positive team player attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Minimum one year hotel experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to understand both oral and written instructions in English.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Neat and tidy appearance as this position deals with the public.
