We are looking for a Permanent part time and relief, Night Auditor at Prestige Inn Radium Hot Springs.

The Night Auditor is a key member of the Guest Services Team; responsible for the overnight operations of the resort, from 11pm to 7 am and will verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services.

Duties

Qualifications

The right candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organization skills, self-motivation, exceptional telephone manner and a willingness to work with a positive team player attitude. 1-7 front desk experience is required. Any accounting experience is an asset. The right candidate will be able to work from 11 pm to 7 am.

The Housekeeping Supervisorplans, organizes, motivates and controls the housekeeping functions necessary to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor is a working housekeeper role that is also responsible for the supervision of all housekeeping employees. Housekeeping Room Attendants have a great work/life balance and can enjoy a flexible working schedule. We can tailor your hours between another job, school and your childcare schedule.

Job Duties

  • Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions and cleans public areas on a regular basis.
  • Trains and motivates housekeeping and laundry personnel.
  • Collaborates with maintenance staff.
  • Schedules personnel to provide timely service at the hotel in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Organizes the daily functions and duties of the housekeeping department.
  • Maintains and conducts regular inventories of all supplies and equipment.
  • Inspects quality of linens and advises the General Manager on purchasing requirements.
  • Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality assurance.
  • Conducts staff meetings in conjunction with General Manager.
  • Monitors and trains with cleaning products to improve efficiencies.
  • Maintains and oversees the required process to ensure regular deep cleaning and preventive maintenance.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Fluent in the English language (written and verbal)
  • Requires ability to select, train, evaluate, motivate and discipline as needed.
  • Operates the department within given cost controls.
  • Requires the ability to follow and give directions (verbal and written).
  • Requires the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Requires the completion of high school or equivalency.
  • Requires Level I First Aid within 3 months of start date.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Experience

  • 2 years minimum experience in a housekeeping role.
  • Requires minimum 1-year experience in supervising others an asset.
  • Six months of commercial housekeeping or maintenance experience is preferred.

Scope of Responsibility

Reporting to the General Manager, the Guest Service Manager supports the leadership functions of the hotel. This position will provide shoulder to shoulder supervision of the guest service team and ensure that all guests are treated in an outstanding manner.

In addition, the Guest Service Manager will specifically:

  • Assist the General Manager with scheduling of Guest Service Agents
  • Provide training of Guest Service Agent
  • Assist the General Manager with recruitment.
  • Assist the General Manager with regular Guest Service Agent and Management meetings.
  • Maintain a well-organized front desk and back office area.
  • Monitor bus tours, room allocations, team or group rates and conference accommodation rates.
  • Assist the General Manager with Accounts Receivable, including company credit applications, invoicing and collections.
  • Develop a close working relationship with the Food and Beverage operation.
  • Inform the lessees of special events and activities at the hotel.
  • Maintain an active involvement with WCB issues.
  • Order supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager

As a candidate for this position, you must have previous front desk experience, excellent communication and telephone skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to relate to the public in a friendly and professional manner.

The Prestige Prince Rupert Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is accepting applications for a Night Auditor/ Guest Service Agent to join our team. We are looking for an individual who possesses an insatiable desire to attain the highest levels of quality and service in all areas of the hotel.

 

Duties Include:

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check-in/out
  • Reviews financial reports to ensure accuracy
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately inputs all guest data and prepares daily reports
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of lodging room categories, room rates, packages, promotions
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel and change room reservations
  • Process telephone calls
  • Provide general information about hotel and points of interest in the area
  • Work with minimal supervision

Job Requirements:

  • A positive team player attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Minimum one year hotel experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to understand both oral and written instructions in English.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Neat and tidy appearance as this position deals with the public.
