Rossland is located in the West Kootenay region, 10 km North of the U.S. border, 3.5 hours from Kelowna, B.C International Airport, and 30 minutes from the West Kootenay Airport in Castlegar. Stay up-to-date with road conditions at DriveBC.

SUMMER ADVENTURE
Where do we even start? With action packed adventure all year round, Golden has so much to offer. In the summer you wont find any better biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, or fishing. If you’re looking to push your limits you’ve come to the right place. Go whitewater river rafting, challenge yourself with some world-class climbing and mountaineering. While we’ve already boasted about the abundance of natural beauty surrounding our town, what about seeing it from the sky? Go skydiving, paragliding, or hang gliding, and see Golden from a whole new perspective.
WINTER ADVENTURE
You haven’t experience snow until you’ve been to Golden. Go cross country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding, at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Want to push it to the extreme? Check out the back country and try out heli or cat skiing. Slow it down and take in the views on one of the many self guided snowshoeing trails. Did you know Golden is well known as an ice climbing destination? Did you know it has over 240 km of groomed snowmobiling trails? Nowhere else does winter like Golden does.
WILDLIFE WATCHING
Golden is wild. Make sure you keep your eyes open on your adventures, you never know who you’ll meet! Take part in a guided tour at Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, or/and Grizzly Bear Interpretive Centre, and get to know our wildlife up close and personal.

Obviously our favourite restaurant in town is Ricky’s All-Day Grill located at the Prestige Inn Golden, but if you’ve already visited them and want to try out another great eatery, you have lots of options in Golden.
