Headbanger Trail Challenge to Take Place in Radium


Cross-Country runners are going to be descending on Radium Hot Springs this coming Saturday, September 27th. That’s when the the Headbanger Trail Challenge cross-country run is taking place in the beautiful Kootenay region of British Columbia.

The run is part of TREKSeries, a series of trail races that take place throughout the East Kootenays. The 2014 series of cross-country races has already visited Nipika, Kimberley, Invermere and Fernie. The series’ visit to Radium Hot Springs is the final race of 2014.

The course for the Radium race is 12 km in length and runners will witness some spectacular scenery as they tackle the course, with the route taking in views of the Columbia River Wetlands, Kootenay mountains, and lush valleys.

There will also be a family-oriented 3 km run/walk along the magnificent Sinclair Creek Trails on the 27th as well. For those who take part, this promises some lovely scenery as well, and if a great option for those who would like to take part in a fun running event, but at a less rigorous pace.
