28th Annual Cranbrook Pro Rodeo Takes Place This Weekend


Cranbrook Pro RodeoNorth America’s best cowboys and cowgirls are set to visit Cranbrook, as the 28th edition of the annual Cranbrook Pro Rodeo gets underway on August 15th. The highly entertaining and action-packed spectacle runs for the whole weekend, ending on Sunday, August 17th.

The Cranbrook Pro Rodeo is on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s schedule, as well as being a part of the Kenton Randle Bareback Series, and the Duane Daines Saddle Bronc Series.

In addition to the rodeo action, Shelby Cummings will wow the audience with some expert trick riding, and Liberty Horse Trainer Niki Flundra will also be on hand to entertain those in attendance. A Rodeo Dance will take place on Saturday, while Sunday is Children’s Day at the rodeo.

Tickets for adults are $20 ($18 in advance) for adults, and $18 ($16 in advance) for seniors and youth, while kids under 10 get in for free. Tickets for the Rodeo Dance are $10 at the door ($5 if you have a ticket for Saturday) and can be purchased at Alpine Toyota, Top Crop Farm, and Hill Billy Hardwear.

From volunteers to riders and horses, it takes a lot of work to pull off an event like the Cranbrook Pro Rodeo, and it is always an incredible amount of fun!

The rodeo takes place at the Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds (5325 Wycliffe Park Road) – that’s about 13km north of Cranbrook on Highway 95A (AKA the Kimberley Highway). Yee-haw!
