Kimberley’s Underground Mining Railway

A great activity for the whole family, Kimberley’s Underground Mining Railway is open during weekends from May 18th to June 30th. Enjoy a scenic ride through the Mark Creek Valley, with stops for guided tours of the Underground Interpretive Centre and the Sullivan Mine Powerhouse. Departures are from 11 am, 1 pm, or 3 pm, and the Resort Express Train departs at 10 am for those who just want to ride on the train.

Fisher Peak

For all of you adventurers, hiking up Fisher Peak is just the activity you are looking for. Fisher Peak is the highest and most appealing summit of the Southern Rocky Mountains – it dominates Cranbrook’s Eastern skyline. The peak is an outstanding 9336 feet (2846 m) high and offers a panoramic view of the Kootenay River Valley and the southern Rockies. The elevation gain from the trail head is approximately 4400 feet (1400m).
