Whale watching
Always popular, people come from all over the world to see the majestic orcas that roam BC’s coastline. Whales can be spotted year-round, but aren’t always a guarantee in the spring because that’s when they begin to slowly migrate back up the coast. Fishing
Feel the excitement of fishing out on the ocean! Sport fishing wild salmon and even halibut can result in catches weighing in from 50 to 300+ pounds! Fishing adventures are available all year, but again, it’s always best to call ahead to ensure the best possible experience. Hiking/Exploring
One of the greatest aspects of the Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke is the fact that it’s surrounded by amazing beaches and trails that can be explored all year long! Highly recommended by the locals, Avatar Grove is a beautiful old-growth forest nearby. Danielle from Prestige also says to be sure to stop in at Shirley Delicious café for a bite to eat on the way!
