Prestige Hotels & Resorts is proud to offer Alaska Airlines Award Miles at all locations. Guests staying at Prestige Hotels & Resorts can now earn miles towards a trip to their favourite destination.

Alaska Airlines Miles will be awarded based on qualifying stays at any Prestige Hotel or Resort. Guests must present their Alaska Airlines Membership Number at the time of reservation and/or check-in.

250 Alaska Airlines Miles per qualifying stay.One or two night stay at any Prestige Hotels & Resorts location in BC.

500 Alaska Airlines Miles miles for a qualifying stay consisting of 3 (three) consecutive nights at one Prestige location.

Qualifying Stay:

a. Prestige Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to determine and/or restrict rates as a valid for a qualifying stay.

Responding to the input from guests for a smoke-free environment, all properties in the Prestige Hotels and Resorts chain will become 100% smoke-free effective June 1, 2007. This initiative received unanimous approval and support from all general managers at the company’s recent Annual General Meeting. “Providing a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for our guests and employees is a priority,” said Joe K. Huber, President of Prestige Hotels and Resorts. “We recognize the fact that a large number of guests are striving for a healthier lifestyle. Most Prestige Hotels and Resorts offer our guests facilities such as athletic clubs, wellness spas, pillow-top mattresses and environmentally-sensitive amenities. We believe that as consumer’s awareness of the health hazards posed by smoking and second-hand smoke increases, so will the demand for a smoke-free environment”.

Although the majority of guestrooms and all public areas at Prestige Hotels and Resorts are non-smoking, completely eliminating tobacco smoke from all guestrooms will enhance a guest’s hotel experience and provide a healthier working environment for room attendants. Eliminating the current policy of separate smoking and non-smoking rooms will also prevent the seepage of second-hand smoke into the public hallways.

Prestige Hotels and Resorts has already commenced an extensive deep cleaning of all former smoking rooms in preparation for the implementation of its smoke-free policy. Guests will be advised of the policy when reserving a room and arriving at the property. A cleaning fee will be assessed for guests who smoke in their guestroom. This fee will be used to restore the room to its original air quality.

The number of clients expressing support of the new smoke-free policy has been overwhelming. The smoke-free environment will be offered at all nine Prestige Hotels and Resorts in the Okanagan and Kootenay Rockies regions.
