White Lake Lookout

About a half hour drive West from Salmon Arm, White Lake is a beautiful area consisting of a rural community and two lakes. Starting from John Evdokimoff Bike Park, it is a short but steep hike up to White Lake Lookout, but the view is well worth it! For more details directions, check out the Shuswap Trails website.

Little Mountain

Just five minutes from downtown Salmon Arm, Little Mountain Park is an easy stroll through the woods up to a beautiful lookout over the city and the Shuswap lake. There’s a picnic table and various benches, so bring a picnic and enjoy the view!

Canoe Beach

If you’re a fan of white sandy beaches and lounging by the water, Canoe Beach is a perfect fit for you. Go for a swim, grab a snack from the concession, or try some beach volleyball on the court at the end of the beach.

Wednesday on the Wharf

WOW is a summer series of outdoor concerts at Salmon Arm’s marine park, located right next to the Prestige Harbourfront Resort. Every Wednesday night, the community shows up with blankets and lawn chairs, ready to enjoy some live music. With musical styles ranging from jazz to rock, funk to folk, this series is a truly magical experience. Starting in June and running through the end of August, be sure to check out their website and catch your favourite musical act!

Salmar Theatres

The Salmar Theatre Association, including both the Grand and Classic theatres, is one of the most unique movie entertainment organizations in Canada. They are one of the first nonprofits to operate a multi-plex, with all of their proceeds going back into the community.
