On Tuesday, May 15 a new cafe opened at our Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm. Café Tasse uses local suppliers to create delectable food for our Prestige Shuswap guests. These Artisan Suppliers include Little Red Hen Artisan Bakery, Terroir Cheese, and Windmill Meats. These suppliers are best known for their farm fresh produce. Terroir Cheese uses Fresh Raw Milk, just like in France.
Café Tasse also serves locally roasted organic coffee from the Kootenay Coffee Company. At Prestige, we are proud to be situated close to unique local artisan suppliers in the Shuswap and highly recommend the farm to table experience. You can read our previous blog post on Healthy Living to find out more about our views on local eating. We are excited that our guests can now experience the farm to table phenomenon in the comfort of our hotel in Salmon Arm.
Local with a French Twist
Dynamic chef duo Maria and Bernard Grand-Clement bring Salmon Arm residents a quaint French café using the finest local ingredients. A must-try is their savoury crêpes (galettes) made with organic buckwheat. They also offer pastries, soups, salad, and baguette sandwiches. Check out their delicious menu on the Café Tasse website.
Noble Adventures in the Shuswap
Our new cafe in Salmon Arm has clearly inspired the Prestige team. Right now, we are in the process of partnering with Noble Adventures. Noble Adventures offers adventure packages, which include Farm Adventure Tours. For more information, take a look at the Noble Adventures website.
If you’re heading to Salmon Arm, be sure to check out Café Tasse, our brand new café, grab a latte and walk the wharf.
